My hallway is painted, the stairs are ½ way finished and I’m packing everything up for a 4th of July camping trip to Maine.

We’ll be leaving today and will stay until Sunday! Woohoo!!! I’m stoked! We’ll be staying at a campground in Rockport, ME and our really good friends the Allen’s will join us. It’s right by the ocean – this is the area where they shot the movie ‘The perfect storm’. And it’s absolutely beautiful up there! (I’m so bringing all of my camera gear!!!)

Mein Treppenhaus ist fertig gestrichen und die Treppen sind auch schon zur Hälfte fertig und ich bin gerade dabei unsere Taschen zu packen für unseren 4. Juli Campingausflug nach Maine.

Wir fahren heute ab und bleiben bis Sonntag! Jippieh!!! Ich freu mich monster! Wir werden die Tage auf einem Campingplatz in Rockport, Maine zelten zusammen mit unseren sehr guten Freunden den Allens. Es liegt direkt am Atlant. Ozean – da wo u.a. der Film ‘The Perfect Storm’ gedreht wurde. Die Landschaft ist atemberaubend! (Ich birng auf jeden Fall meine Kamerausrüstung mit!!!)

That’s me! We have this German saying that usually depicts me to the ‘T’ …. I’ve got bumblebees up my butt. I buzz around all day long and never stop! lol

Over the weekend I not only had 2 photo shoots I also painted and finished my laundry room!!! YAY! And now… I’m sooo in love with it. It’s huge and it looks fresh, clean…did I mention clean?? I’ll post some pictures soon.

Today I want to take the edge off the anticipation for one of my clients. Their little boy J’ was so dang cute! His eyes; big and blue - framed with lashes that are to die for.

We met at the Hill-Stead Gardens (I wonder why? lol) and had a super-di-duper time! I had some new photo-accessories and several different visions in my head that I was just dying to try out.

Doesn’t ‘J’ just look like he’s resting on a cloud?

And then this one… love it! J’ is concentrating on his book, while Mom looks radiant - and what’s dad up to??? Ooogling Mom, that’s what he’s doing!

Guys, you were terrific to work with, I had a blast! Thanks for being simply YOU! And as for J’…. I have a new crush!

Fleißiges.Bienchen…das bin ich! Das dt. Sprichwort trifft so dermaßen auf mich zu … ‘Ich hab Hummeln im Arsch’! Ich schwirr den ganzen Tag umher und kann nicht still sitzen! Lol

Über’s WE hatte ich nicht nur 2 Fotoshoots, sondern habe ich auch noch mein Waschzimmer gestrischen und umgeräumt!!! HURRA! Und jetzt … tja, ich liebe es. Es ist groß und sieht frisch und neu aus, ist sauber … und hab ich schon gesagt, dass es sauber ist? Ich werd demnächst Fotos zeigen.

Heute muss ich die Neugierde für einen meiner Kunden etwas sättigen. Deren kleiner Sohnemann J’ war sowas von süß! Seine Augen waren groß und blau – und umrahmt von Wimpern, die man als Frau nur beneiden kann.

Wir haben uns bei den Hill-Stead Gärten (was für eine Überraschung! lol) getroffen und hatten eine super coole Zeit zusammen! Ich hab seid kurzem ein paar neue Foto-Accessoires und hatte ein paar Vorstellungen in meinem Kopf die ich damit ausprobieren wollte.

Sieht er nicht aus, als würde er wie auf einer Wolke liegen? (siehe 1. Foto oben)

Und dann das hier … zu köstlich! J‘ ist vertieft in sein Buch, Mutti strahlt förmlich vor Glück & Liebe – und was macht der Papi??? Der himmelt die Mami an! (siehe 2. Foto oben)

Leute ihr ward einfach fantastisch und ich habe mich gefreut mit euch zusammen arbeiten zu dürfen! Ich hatte eine tolle Zeit! Danke das ihr so natürlich ward und ich euch etwas kennenlernen konnte! Und zu J‘ … ich hab einen neuen Schwarm

That’s what they say…. but I’m sure this cutie-pie won’t be a problem for her parents! (Especially since her mom is a fantastic teacher!!!)

I was asked to photograph little Brinley for her 2nd birthday and to document her party. What a blast! B’ is full of spunk, attitude and trust me when I say that she could hold a conversation like a 6 year old! Simply brilliant!

Her actual birthday is on the 30th and I know mom and dad are just eager to see some of the pictures. So here’s a quick shout out to you guys!

So sagt man’s hier in der USA …aber ich bin mir sicher, dass diese süße Maus kein Problem für ihre Eltern sein wird! (Besonders nicht für ihre Mutti, die eine wahnsinns Lehrerin ist!!!)

Ich wurde gebucht um Fotos von Brinley’s 2. Geburtstag zu machen und ihre Feier zu dokumentieren. Was für ein Spaß! B‘ ist voller Temperament, hat zu allem ihre eigene Meinung und glaubt mir wenn ich sage, dass sie mit jedem 6-jährigen mithalten könnte wenn’s um’s sprechen geht! Spitzenmäßig!

Ihr eigentlicher Geburtstag ist am 30. und ich weiß, dass Mama & Papa es schon kaum abwarten können um ihre Fotos zu sehen. Also ist hier ein kurzer Vorgeschmack für euch!

Brinley, danke dass wir an deinem ganz besonderem Tag mit teilnehmen durften!

We’re getting down to business with our house and hopefully it’ll be on the market here very shortly. So to give the kids a little break today we met up with my very good friend Jennifer and her gorgeous 2 daughters; Brinley & Emily.

We went hiking around the Hill-Stead Gardens and had so much fun together! I’ve posted some pictures from this location before in a different post (The Graduate) so I knew it’s pretty there, but today we ventured around other parts of the grounds and saw some really cool new hings. I love this place!

This time we also went through the woods and took one of the trails and just at the end we saw a warning sign for ticks! I din’t think too much about it but when Zizi asked me in the car on our way back home what this big black thing on her leg was I knew I should’ve paid better attention to that sign! I checked all 3 of them as soon as we got home and sure enough we found some more. These luckily were the large dog ticks and not the deer ticks. My friend and her daughters, Kiki and myself were lucky not to have any but poor C.J. ended up with three of them. None which were able to insert themselves. Whew! After I explained to the kids what ticks are and that next time we should be prepared with tick-repellent when walking through the woods! The kids agreed and overall loved the place enough that they are actually eager to go back there again! That’s my brave little tykes for ya!

This field was so awesome! The grass was so high that the kids were able to play hide and go seek in it!

Wir sind endlich an den letzten Renovierungen für unser Haus und werden es hoffentlich schon sehr bald auf den Markt stellen. Um den Kids also eine kleine Verschnaufspause zu gönnen haben wir heute mal wieder eine kleine Exkursion gemacht. Wir haben uns mit meiner sehr guten Freundin Jennifer und deren 2 zuckersüßen Kids Brinley & Emily getroffen um etwas Spaß zu haben.

Wir sind zu den Hill-Stead Gärten gefahren und hatten eine tolle Zeit zusammen! Ich hab schonmal in einem älteren Beitrag (The Graduate) Fotos von diesem Ort gezeigt und wusste somit wie schön es dort ist. Heute sind wir allerdings auch durch die anderen Ecken des Grundstücks gewandert und haben ein paar tolle neue Plätze entdeckt. Ich bin total begeistert von diesem Grundstück!

Diesesmal sind wir auch durch einen Weg im Wald gewandert und erst am Ende haben wir ein Warnschild gesehen, wo wir auf Zecken hingewiesen wurden! Ich hab mir keine großartigen Gedanken darüber gemacht, aber als Zizi mich dann im Auto auf dem Nachhauseweg fragte, was dieses komische schwarze Ding auf ihrem Bein ist wurde ich des besseren belehrt. Sobald wir zu Hause waren habe ich dann natürlich alle 3 gleich komplett untersucht und wir haben doch tatsächlich noch mehr entdeckt. Diese Zecken waren Gott sei Dank die grossen Schildzecken und nicht die kleinen gefährlicheren Hirschzecken.  Meine Freundin, ihre Töchter, Kiki & ich wurden verschohnt von den Viehchern, und neben Zizi hatte der arme C.J. die meisten. 3 Stück hab ich bei ihm entdeckt! Allerdings hatte sich noch keine der Zecken festgebissen und wir konnten sie schnell loswerden. Hui - nochmal Glück gehabt! Später hab ich den Kids erklärte was genau Zecken sind und das wir uns beim nächsten Wald-Besuch besser drauf vorbereiten müssen! Alle drei stimmten mir zu und haben den Tag und den Ort so sehr genossen, dass sie einstimmig beschlossen haben schon sehr bald wieder dorthin zurück zu gehen! So sind sie nunmal, meine 3 tapferen Schneider-…aeh… Clowardleins!

Hier das Feld war einfach zu cool! Das Gras war hoch genug sodass die Kids ohne Probleme Verstecken drin spielen konnten! (Na…findet ihr Brinley, nach der C.J. sucht?)
